Privacy Policy
Bloop sorts screenshots into useful categories and helps turn the text inside them into suggested actions, including calendar events, reminders, links, notes, and email drafts.
We designed Bloop so screenshot image files stay on your device in the launch version. Bloop reads text locally first. When AI features run, Bloop sends extracted text and small metadata for transient analysis so it can summarize, categorize, and suggest actions.
Information Bloop Processes
- Screenshots from your photo library on your device.
- Text extracted from screenshots using on-device OCR.
- Lightweight metadata such as category names, capture date, timezone, language preference, and app-generated item identifiers.
- An optional profile name you enter to improve action suggestions.
- App settings, categories, notes, actions, and processing status stored locally on your device.
- Subscription and purchase status when paid plans are enabled.
Screenshot Images
Bloop does not upload screenshot image files to Bloop's analysis server in the current launch design. Images are used locally for preview, thumbnail generation, and text recognition.
Extracted Text And AI Analysis
When Instant Sort is enabled or you tap an AI Sort action, Bloop extracts text locally first. Bloop may then send extracted text and lightweight metadata to Bloop's server for AI analysis. Extracted text may include personal information if that information appears in the screenshot.
Bloop's server is designed to process OCR text to fulfill the request and not store screenshot images, OCR text, AI prompts, or AI responses as product data. Operational systems may keep non-content records needed for security, reliability, rate limits, subscriptions, and abuse prevention.
Service Providers
Bloop uses service providers to operate app features, purchases, subscriptions, hosting, rate limits, abuse prevention, and AI text analysis. These providers may include Apple, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, and AI text-analysis providers. Providers process information as needed to provide Bloop's features and are subject to their own terms and privacy obligations.
Tracking, Advertising, And Sales
Bloop does not sell your personal data. Bloop does not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking in the launch version. Bloop does not include a third-party analytics SDK in the launch build.
Data Retention
Data stored in Bloop on your device remains there until you delete it, clear it from Bloop, or delete the app. Server-side OCR text is processed transiently for analysis. Bloop's server code does not intentionally log or persist screenshot images, OCR text, AI prompts, or AI responses.
Cloudflare KV stores non-content operational records such as minute rate-limit counters, daily rate-limit counters kept for about one day, monthly AI-credit counts kept through the monthly reset window, and short-lived RevenueCat entitlement cache entries. These entries are not screenshot text, screenshot images, AI prompts, or AI responses.
