Use Bloop Note to search Google from a screenshot

A screenshot can contain the product name, place, article title, or project idea you need. Bloop Note keeps that useful text and gives it a focused route into Google Search.

Bloop Note turns OCR text into usable context

Bloop reads screenshot text on the device first. A Bloop Note can keep a focused title, a short body, and a search query based on the subject. You can review the result before taking an action.

The note screen offers Search Google, Find Products, Copy Text, Share, and Set Reminder. Each action uses the text Bloop extracted or summarized from the screenshot.

Search Google without retyping the screenshot

  1. Open the screenshot in Bloop.
  2. Tap Bloop Note.
  3. Check the title and visible details.
  4. Tap Search Google.

Bloop builds a search phrase around the specific subject. A product query can include brand, model, size, color, or capacity. A place query can include the business name and city. An article query can use the exact title and author.

Use Find Products for shopping screenshots

A screenshot of headphones or shoes may include a model number that matters more than the marketing headline. Find Products carries the useful product query into Google Shopping results. Check the model, seller, price, shipping terms, and return policy before buying.

A product screenshot can age fast. Search results may show a newer price or a different variant, so compare the screenshot with the current listing.

Search text and search pixels solve different problems

Bloop Note sends a text query to Google. It does not upload the screenshot image to Google. Text search works well when the screenshot contains a name, address, title, quote, product model, or visible description.

Google Lens handles pixel-level visual search. Google says Lens results can include similar images and websites with the same or a similar image. Follow Google’s iPhone and iPad image-search steps when you need the image itself to drive the search.

Choose the right search lane.

Use Bloop Note for words and context. Use Google Lens for objects, visual matches, and pages that reuse the image.

Copy or share the useful part

Copy Text works when you need the address in a message, the quote in a draft, or the model number in another app. Share keeps the note title and selected details together. Check private or sensitive text before sending it to another person or service.

Set a reminder from the same note

Search can answer the question. A reminder can make you use the answer. Add a time for the project, purchase decision, article, restaurant, or follow-up. Keep the first reminder action small and specific.

Keep screenshot images private by default

Bloop keeps screenshot image files on your device. Local OCR reads text first. Optional AI sorting sends extracted text, not the screenshot image, when you choose that feature. Opening Google Search sends the search query to Google under Google’s own terms and privacy controls.
