Bloop means the small step that turns a screenshot from clutter into something searchable, sorted, and useful.
Bloop is a made-up product word, but it has a job. It gives a name to the moment when a screenshot stops being a loose image in Photos and becomes something you can find, understand, and act on.
People take screenshots quickly because they do not want to lose something: a receipt, a meeting, a job post, a product, a bill, a message, an idea, or a link. Bloop is the app built around what happens after that capture.
The meaning of Bloop
In the app, Bloop means "make this screenshot useful." That can be simple and free, like scanning the screenshot with local OCR. It can also be smarter, like using AI credits to create a title, summary, category, reminder, calendar action, note, link, or draft reply.
The word is intentionally light. Screenshots are already messy enough. Bloop is meant to feel quick, low-pressure, and easy to repeat.
How Bloop is used in the app
Bloop it
"Bloop it" is the action button. It means: process this screenshot so Bloop can understand it better. If free local OCR is enough, the screenshot can stay as scanned text. If AI processing is available, Bloop can use AI credits for better sorting, summaries, and actions.
Blooping
"Blooping" is the in-progress state. It means Bloop is reading the screenshot result and turning it into something more organized. In the app, that should only appear when real processing is happening.
Bloop Note
A Bloop Note is a focused note made from screenshot text. It is useful when the screenshot has important information but does not need a calendar event or reminder. Recipes, ideas, instructions, shopping notes, quotes, and travel details can become Bloop Notes.
Free OCR vs AI Blooping
Bloop has two layers. Free local OCR scans readable text from the screenshot. AI Blooping uses credits to understand what the screenshot means.
Free OCR answers: "What words are visible?" AI Blooping answers: "What is this screenshot about, where should it be sorted, and what action might help?"
Why the name matters
The name gives the app its own verb. Instead of asking people to remember a technical workflow like "run AI screenshot classification," the app can say "Bloop it." The meaning is simple: take the screenshot you saved and make it easier to use.
