Turn job interview screenshots into calendar events

Interview details often arrive inside email and chat screenshots: recruiter name, role, company, date, time, meeting link, and what to prepare.

A job search can create a messy screenshot trail. You save job posts, recruiter emails, interview confirmations, compensation notes, portfolio instructions, and follow-up messages. Some screenshots are only references. Others are scheduled obligations that belong on your calendar.

What Bloop should look for

A calendar-worthy interview screenshot usually has both scheduling context and a real date or time. Strong phrases include "interview confirmed", "scheduled", "Google Meet", "Zoom", "availability", "panel interview", "technical interview", "onsite", "screening call", and "final interview".

The important detail is context. A date in an email footer is not enough. A date near "Your interview is confirmed for..." is the kind of evidence that can become a reviewable calendar action.

Good interview card titles

A helpful screenshot title should name the actual event. Instead of "Recruiter email" or "Inbox message", a better title might be "Acme recruiter confirms product designer interview for Tuesday" or "Engineering screen scheduled with hiring manager".

That kind of summary helps you find the card later and understand why it matters without reopening the screenshot.

Calendar notes that are useful

When an interview screenshot becomes a calendar event, useful notes can include:

When reminder is better than calendar

Not every job screenshot is an event. "Please send your portfolio by Friday" is often a reminder. "We will get back to you next week" can be a follow-up reminder. "Role closes June 10" may be a deadline. Bloop should choose the action based on what the screenshot asks you to do.

Calendar rule: interview screenshots should get Add to Calendar only when the date is attached to an interview, call, meeting, deadline, or scheduled obligation.
