How to turn screenshots into calendar events and reminders
Screenshots often contain the exact details you need: date, time, title, location, link, and the reason you saved it.
Bloop is designed to find useful actions in screenshot text. When a screenshot includes a scheduled obligation, Bloop can suggest a calendar event. When the screenshot is more like a task or follow-up, Bloop can suggest a reminder.
Good calendar screenshots
Calendar actions work best when the screenshot includes both a real date or time and event context. Examples include:
- doctor appointments;
- job interviews;
- client calls and meeting invites;
- restaurant reservations;
- class schedules, webinars, and events;
- flight departures and travel bookings;
- bill due dates and application deadlines.
Good reminder screenshots
Reminders are better when the screenshot has a task but not a fully scheduled event. Examples include follow-up messages, "pay soon" notices, delivery check-ins, renewal reminders, or a reply-by date.
Why Bloop asks you to review
Calendar and reminder actions should never be blind guesses. Bloop keeps the title, date, time, notes, and relevant details visible so you can check, edit, or undo them after creation. That matters because screenshots can contain status-bar dates, article publish dates, prices, ratings, and version numbers that are not events.
A date by itself is not enough. Bloop looks for the scheduled thing attached to the date.
Google Calendar and Apple Calendar
By default, Bloop uses your iOS default calendar. If you sync Google Calendar into Apple Calendar, you can choose that writable calendar in Bloop Settings and add future event actions there.
Try this workflow
- Take a screenshot of a meeting invite, interview email, reservation, or due date.
- Open Bloop, or let automatic processing pick it up when possible.
- Review the suggested calendar or reminder action.
- Edit or undo anything that looks wrong after creation.
